My story

Copywriter, editor, content developer, website traffic specialist, campaign data analyst, marketing strategist, … I do all this and more in an average week!

Hi, I’m Sabine Mordini-Pound. I’ve been working in digital marketing and e-commerce since 2005.

When I opened my first online store, I thought all you had to do was put up your products, and wait for people to buy them. Turns out, that’s not quite how it works.

I jumped head first into all the books and courses I could find, so I could learn how to be more visible online. Over time and through trial and error, I created marketing strategies that achieved first-page organic search results (yay!).

Most importantly, I learnt that if there’s one place you shouldn’t put all your eggs in one basket, it’s digital strategy. To do a good job you must look at the whole picture, hence all the different hats I wear in my job.

It can get a bit overwhelming when you’ve never done it before, don’t know where to start, or how to get better results. I’ve been there and that’s why I started Ivy & Hoot: to share what I’ve learnt, and help small businesses and creatives achieve online visibility and flourish.

How I work

For me designing a good strategy means taking a close look at who will implement it: that’s why I always start by getting to know you. Your personality, goals, and resources need to factor in for you (and I) to have the best chance of success.

There’s not one way to establish yourself or grow online: together we’ll design the way that’s right for you and your business. The way that’ll make this new work enjoyable and exciting, as it should be!

A little bit more about me

I was born and raised in Provence. I love word puzzles, jigsaws, reading, talking to people, cooking, and baking.

I lived in Australia for a long time and relocated to the Netherlands in 2017, where I finally learnt how to properly ride a bicycle at the age of 38.

I like to snack on carrots and baby tomatoes, and am never without a cup of tea.
